Should Dems take majority, they will reopen Kavanaugh investigation. Watch out Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz, and Dean Heller. Dems need those seats to regain the majority and it could very well happen

Pretty sure Kavanaugh's SCOTUS seat is safer than Feinstein's Senate seat... is she getting desperate?

If I understand correctly, Kavanaugh cannot be impeached for anything he may have done in his past. He can only be impeached for his conduct as a justice.

Also, you would still need 67 Senators to remove Kavanaugh.

It ain't going to happen.

Also, Feinstein in general is a disgusting human being.

You don't need to be assured of 67 votes for removal in order to have a long, thorough, and public investigation of Kavanaugh's assaults and perjury. The public has a right to know what he's done, and if he chooses to stay on the bench with a tarnished reputation after everything comes out about his lying and attacking women, that's his choice.

No one forced the Republicans to ram through Kavanaugh's appointment before he could be fully vetted by the public. Unfortunately, Democrats will have to do the constitutional duty Republicans shirked this year in their rush to get this guy on the bench.

Note that no one thinks Gorsuch has the kind of skeletons in his closet that Kavanaugh has.

It will be in vain. Let's face it, we're stuck with this spiteful, entitled, douchetacular fratwad for 25-30 years.

Justice referenced an ethics complaint to DC Crt of Appeals already. My predictions are based on a late surge by Dems

Yeah, Feinstein may not be able to act on this, but fortunately the House will have new management able to shine a spotlight on the filthy corners of Kavanaugh’s closet.

There is the concern that Kavnaugh perjured himself. I think that's enough to reopen the investigations.

And then if he did commit perjury I'll be glad to support impeachment, but don't kid yourself about how easy it is to prove that he committed perjury. Also, William Rehnquist probably committed perjury some 32 years ago during his Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, but there was never any serious effort to impeach him.

Just because he made it onto the court does not mean he should not or cannot be investigated.

For as long as Kavanaugh remains on the Court, the entire court must be considered illegitimate. Passing retroactive legislation setting a 1 year term length for SCOTUS members in 2021 to clear the entire bench, and then immediately repealing it and appointing 9 new members must be done if Kavanaugh is still on the court at that point if we are to restore the legitimacy of the court.

It's statements like this as to why I can't stand the left. So much embedded entitlement. You lost the 2016 presidency, and you lost the resulting opportunity to pick SCOTUS justices. You don't have a god-given right to either of those things. Stop throwing a tantrum because you didn't get your way.

You understand incorrectly then. He can be impeached and removed for whatever Congress decides. But yes, it does require 67 senators to remove him and that's not happening any time soon.

And I'm no fan of Feinstein either, but I think our reasons are entirely separate.

It's Republicans who think everything is blessed to them by God. You all throw the word tantrum around like we are talking about some kid in a toy store angry over not getting the toy they wanted and that is a ridiculous simplification of the issues. Let's remember that Republicans did not play fair with Merrick Garland who Obama had every constitutional right to nominate. McConnell made up a rule that had zero constitutional or legal precedent. What he did was real and not even a random hypothetical on a message board like you just threw a tantrum over.

It took 183 investigations over nothing, but the GOP got their man for this kind of crap, fair's fair.

Actually it's been illegitimate since Gorsuch's appointment.

Since Bush v. Gore.

Well, that's the worst SC decision ever, since it was the only one motivated by partisanship as distinct from the dozens and dozens of illegitimate decisions that were motivated by political ideology.
