If Democrats wouldn't have an atrocious candidate too that would be the end of the race.

A lot of politics has just become projection at this point.

That's not surprising. This guy is just a hack perennial candidate they got stuck with again because they were expecting to face Lori Swanson.

The race is already over, and has been for quite some time.

Given the allegations against Ellison, there’s definitely a legitimate argument to be made for voting Republican to keep him out of office.  I’d probably just vote write-in/third party b/c Wardlow is horrible too, but I can’t really fault anyone for deciding he’s the lesser of two evils.  I mean, how can you vote for Ellison if you believe the allegations against him (and I think this is a case where you could make decent arguments both for believing and being pretty skeptical allegations; I’m honestly undecided on this one, but I recall there being enough ambiguity that I don’t know that I could vote for Ellison in good conscience, although I could obviously be misremembering the details)?  This race isn’t nearly as clear cut a choice as it might ordinarily be and Minnesotans have two pretty awful choices.

Voting for Johnson but if forced between the two I would without a doubt back Ellison. In no way is Wardlow the lesser of two evils if you're a progressive.

Thank God you aren't voting in Minnesota and I am.

Had GOP nominated someone that wasn't incompetent, they would've actually had a shot here due to the allegations, even with the environment.

The Republicans really could've beaten Ellison. They fucked it up.

I mean, Wardlow never committed domestic violence AFAIK, so if you believe the allegations against Ellison then Wardlow is the lesser of two evils for that reason alone.  In any case, I’d vote third-party/write in if I lived in MN since both AG candidates are unacceptable.
