I feel for my sanity, I should stop reading the news. The news is a poisonous thing that surrounds the mind with only bad things: Fear and Uncertainty. As I've thought it over, I realized that the news has very little utility in my day-to-day life.

I've probably lost so much faith that the news is covering the current COVID crisis. All the news does is report numbers. how am I supposed to sympathize with numbers on a page? I don't see the bodies nor do I see the victims. Does it really help to remind people that are dying? Frankly, the human mind cannot comprehend the difference between 10,000 and 100,000 deaths. It seems like a giant blur thinking about it.

Does anyone share these kinds of sympathies with me? Something is rotten in the heart of the press.
