Multimillionaire CEO Bob Hugin, who narrowly lost the 2018 Senate election to Sen. Bob Menendez 52% to 46%, officially runs for New Jersey governor in 2021 vowing to cut NJ property taxes, cut income taxes, see more businesses in NJ, and etc.

Hugin defeats ultra-conservative State Sen. Michael Doherty in June 2021's GOP primary.

Despite staving off a potential leftwing challenge from former rival John Wisnewiski, Gov. Phil Murphy's approval ratings are in the mid 40s all year; who wins?

With Murphy being weakened by the primary challenge, it being an off year (Reps more energized) and Hugin's strength, Hugin by 1. Wisnewiski wins by 3 though.

I think Murphy would win by 3 points.....

Hugin has too much baggage
