Oh God...

If not her, then she's definitely going to start looking for someone now.

She can try, but 2010 was proof Palin has lost most of her political sway in Alaska.

Hopefully Dunleavy is somewhat popular in 2022 and decides to give it a go.

I thought Palin was moving out of Alaska.

Her VP bid has ruined Palin's image in Alaska and has undermined her approval ratings there.

And in addition, Murkowski will be able to label Palin as unelectable as she has herself hurt John McCain in 2008 with her gaffes, thus partially contributing to McCain's loss. So Murkowsky can argue that if Palin lost among the GOP ticket in 2008, it won't be any better in a Palin senate bid.

Yeah, this isn't going to go well for Sarah Palin.

Most people will forget about this by 2022 (especially since Kavanaugh is being confirmed anyway), and Murkowski does not care if she loses in a Republican primary given that she was able to win as a write-in back in 2010 after losing a GOP primary.

Murkowski could probably win as an Independent even if she lost to Palin, which she won't.

Doesn’t Palin live in Arizona now?

If Murkowski loses a primary to Palin (0% chance), then she will win general as Independent

I'm sure Murkowski's vote on a Supreme Court nomination confirmed four years previously will be a top issue for Alaskans in 2022.

Yes exactly. THE DECISIVE ISSUE even if Trump starts WW3 with China.

Nah she moved back after taking a bath on her mansion there. Her son is struggling with PTSD and has been in the news lately too.

Murkowski would easily win. Senator Joe Miller says hi.

Endorsed. She should chair the Senate Foreign Relations Committee since she's an expert on foreign policy.

Murkowski obviously voted no, and she knew Collins and Flake and Manchin were gonna confirm Kavanaugh anyways. McConnell knew it all the time he had the votes

Ah ok. I haven’t seen a news story about her in years so I’m not up to speed

But it'll be relevant in two years for Collins because now she's far-right, guys!

Murkowski has nothing to fear. That's why she actually took the principled stance with how she plans on voting.

Except I'm literally arguing in the Collins thread it won't matter there either, lol. Oops.

Palin would be a relatively weak conservative opponent, and Murkowski's race is pretty much guaranteed to be interesting, anyway.

Palin actually might win the primary if she ran, because she'd get tons of help fundraising (that she doesn't need).

That said, she'd have no shot in the general against Begich or a write-in Murkowski bid (or both).

If Murkowski loses in the primary, she would just do another write-in.
