I am not implying that all of these candidates have an equal or even a strong chance of becoming Senator. I excluded candidates in races that no source considers closer than Likely, except one safe open seat (Romney).

I could see McSally, Sinema, Hawley, Blackburn, O'Rourke or Romney making future presidential runs.

If Beto wins (I'm doubtful), I'd consider him potential presidential material one day. Other than that, nobody on this list really stands out as Presidential material.

I see Hawley as the other obvious choice.

Just Beto out of this list. I think Hawley's squandering of what was looking like a GOP-favored race has pretty much proved that he's not the most capable candidate.

Third time's gotta be the charm for Romney, right?

He could be the new Harold Stassen.

Pretty weak list, to be honest (especially ROSEN and ROSENDALE), but if O'Rourke somehow wins, you can bet we'll get dozens of O'Rourke 2020/2024 threads on here.

Beto is the clear favorite, but I wouldn't rule out Sinema, Hawley, or McSally. I think a few of the choices (Romney, Blackburn, Scott) would be interesting, but have pretty much aged out of competition. Romney will be 77 in 2024, which is just too old to run for president.

Beto O'Rourke and Rick Scott

Note: I don't personally consider Rick Scott presidential material by my standards, but I think he has the electoral chops to at least get to the ballot

Ralph Nader is Harold Stassen. Mitt Romney is Rocky de la Fuente.

If Romney at 77 in 2024 is too old, then why on earth are we talking about Biden and Sanders in 2020, when they will both be at or above 80?

Joe Biden won't be 80, he's only got a couple years on Trump and is way healthier and more cognizant.
