I turned 13 on November 26, 2007, which I believe coincided with the recession. Did I miss out on pre-recession adolescence and young adulthood?

Nah. I loved being a teenager in the early 2010s. Post-recession is better than pre-recession for sure.

Yeah, being a teenager during Bush II's second term was so carefree, even with things like cities trying to expel the Marines in protest of Iraq.
