Man, the first couple of responses to this thread were pretty reasonable. I was thinking that possibly my work here was about done - mission accomplished.

But then I got to these responses:

My brain says 50-48 Cruz

My heart says 50-48 O'Rourke

You people aren't actually taken in by reuters and Vox Populli junk, are you? Say it ain't so.

Anyway, a reasonable current guess at realistic numbers would be about in the range of a 6 point Cruz lead. Libertarians should get 2, and there is no Green on the ballot to take votes from Beto.

So:

Cruz: 52
Beto: 46
Libertarian: 2

That is probably on the high side, but there is a better chance of something this than the posts that have the race close or even Beto ahead.

Post your current number prediction for the Texas Senate race.

"...Unless it's anything less than a +3 Cruz win. Then your prediction is idiotic and you will be shamed by 'Cruz Will Win'"

This forum is starting to remind me of all the Republican forums I browsed in October 2008 that were convinced McCain was a shoo in, lol.

FWIW DFW and I use to argue about Texas senate and he was pretty convinced months ago Beto had no path to victory. He’s not some cheerleading hack.

oh yeah, well

I'm surprised Cole hasn't tried to utilize Trump more. Considering Trump will likely win by over 30 points here, he should have cut a quick ad on behalf of Cole. Probably would have swayed some voters.

This poll is old, I just bumped it to gloat. Gov. Cole has won.
