Rohrabacher is after all the close at thing to a tankie in Congress, he's not just a Putin apologist, he's a Soviet apologist who's said before claims of human rights abuses in the Soviet Union are exaggerated. And the True Leftists should love his Putin support too. I could see him being promoted as the "anti-imperialist" option.

Although sane leftists would easily vote for Rouda. Don't forget he got backed by Our Revolution.

If Rouda is seen as a "Clinton third way neoliberal machine establishment" enough candidate, they may very well for for Rohrabacher out of spite, because Russian intervention is a conspiracy...even though claiming that their interference was a conspiracy is pretty much also a conspiracy. Or maybe I'm just too cynical.
