Stacey Abrams (if she wins this year), Bill Nelson (if he wins reelection), Elizabeth Warren (assuming Warren is willing to be VP) and Tammy Baldwin all seem like fine selections to me.

Stacey Abrams would be throwing out a governor's seat in a lean GOP seat. Who would succeed her?

Nelson is good if he weren't so much older. A younger Dem from FL would be perfect.

Baldwin would be a good choice.

Actually, Biden would work. There would be no question whatsoever about experience/ readiness/ introducing him to the media. And she'll have a chit to keep certain Democrats in line in her first term, by dangling the prospects of a new Veep in 2024.

Otherwise, I'd agree with...
Sherrod Brown- Populist favorite from the midwest.
Tim Ryan- Younger midwesterner. He would probably need some accomplishment to stand out in Congress.
Bob Casey- Rustbelt Senator.
Doug Jones- Fellow prosecutor. His record doesn't overshadow hers. Useful surrogate in southern swing states.
Tim Walz- Likely Minnesota Governor, with six terms in Congress.

I think her running mate would have to be a white guy, unless there's some extraordinary situation (IE- unity ticket with Lisa Murkowski.)

I've listened to clips of some of Harris' recent speaking events (Ohio was the most recent)... And she still has not sold me yet.  I'm not saying she will not eventually rise to the occasion- but definitely not there yet with me.  So as of right now- I see her as more of a potential VP pick than I do leading the ticket.

I agree that if Kamala Harris wins the nomination and Cordray is the Ohio Governor, Sherrod Brown is in the pole position for running mate.  Harris appeals to many elements of the Democratic base but admittedly she is open to attacks of being an elite, West Coast liberal.  Brown's political persona offers a firm counterbalance -- economic populist, blue collar, Rust Belt, rough around the edges.  And he's very experienced and a proven commodity.

For a more synergistic approach, Martin Heinrich might be a good running mate -- two young, telegenic political stars from the West.  If Harris wanted to double down on the women's vote in the wake of the Kavanaugh hearings, Amy Klobuchar is midwestern, a fellow prosecutor and a steady presence.

Sherrod Brown would be the best choice. Has WWC appeal and is a good campaigner. Doug Jones would be my personal favorite.

I think she'd pick a white man most likely. Certainly not Booker, because he'd barely add something to the ticket. He's not even from an important state. Neither is the case with Warren.
