Dane County supported Burke for governor with 175k votes (at 70 percent). The fact that Evers won more raw votes than Hillary in Dane SHOWS that WI will remain a very purple state as long as Dane continues to grow and trend D!

Also, Baldwin got more votes than Hillary in Ozaukee County and Waukesha County, and Evers received 16k more votes than Burke in Waukesha County when she ran for governor in 2014. The WI GOP should be worried!

Milwaukee should be the favorite for the DNC in 2020.

Ugh! Walker is refusing to concede, alleging that many ballots were damaged! I really hope he doesn't be able to pull this one off!

Holy crap, Evers got Dallet-like margins out of Dane alone.

Guys, I wouldn't call this official just yet. Scott Walker is demanding a recount, and he might just slither his way through this.

Walker doesn't get a recount per a state law he himself signed, lol. They need to be within 1% of each other.

He can't actually request this until next week at the earliest, after all counties certify the results. If it's more than a 1% margin, Walker is SOL.

I believe he can still request it, he would just have to pay for it out of his own (koch bros) pockets.

Ugh! I'm trying not to be a pessimist, but the WI GOP stole the 2011 Supreme Court Election after finding missing ballots or something. If Koch money gets involved in a recount, we should be a little cautious.

Otherwise, welcome, Governor Tony Evers!

100%.

I'm pretty sure Evers will be fine. I am curious about how the Kaul/Schimel thing will turn out. It is close enough that there could be a recount, yes?

Can someone explain why St. Croix (practically Hudson and other cities)  and the surrounding counties (Dunn/Polk/etc.) swung and trended D from 2014? I've been seeing that in the specials, too.

I believe they’re sorta Twin Cities suburbs?

Those are Twin Cities suburbs/exurbs so it makes a ton of sense those counties would trend D.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is making it pretty clear that unless the margin falls below 1%, Walker can't ask for a recount.

Also the damaged ballots that Walker is crying about are from the City of Milwaukee:

Don't see how that helps him.

Hope that's true. What we win if it can't happen:

1. The assault on schools/healthcare stops
2. Regional transit authorities might be able to be made legal
3. The assault on Milwaukee/the new streetcar system
4. The continued bonding and not paying of road interest should be stopped. Republicans might be willing to get a small gas tax increase since they were not happy with Walker on his road plan.

Forgot about that too, so 2022 we could get a better state legislature too.
