Maybe start spacing out the updates (in timeline time) since there are fewer results coming in?  Instead of every 10 minutes, go to every 30 or 60?

Cruz called the North Dakota Senate Race for Cramer. That means Republicans have control over the Chamber unless Indiana Recount swings.

Waiting for Montana where I still have hope Rosendale can pull this out.

12:00 PM EST: TESTER'S LEAD CUT IN HALF

Jon Tester shows off his fingers

November 6, 2018, 12:00 PM EST: ELECTION NIGHT, CNN Headquarters, Washington D.C.
CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM - CNN'S ELECTION DAY HEADQUARTERS

...

Wolf Blitzer: "It is Midnight on the East Coast, and way out West the polls have just closed in Alaska - and we have exit polls. In the House race there, Republican Don Young is up in the exit poll 48-44. And in the Gubernatorial race, Republican Mike Dunleavy is leading Democrat Mark Begich 44-21 in the exit poll. That is with the Independent Governor Bill Walker, who remained on the ballot despite dropping out of the race, taking 35%."

Wolf Blitzer: "John King, can you give us an update on how things are going in Montana now? What are the new numbers looking like now?"

John King: "We do finally have some more results in from Montana! We are up to 99% in, and Tester's lead has been cut to half. He leads now by only 49.2% to 48.7%, or 214,898 votes to 212,937."

Wolf Blitzer: "What about the other races, John King, do we have any more House races that have been called? Any more Gubernatorial races?"

John King: "... Nope! We are still waiting for more results. We have gotten some more results in some of the House races, but not enough to call anything else. Still 232 Democratic seats called to 185 Republican seats called."

Wolf Blitzer: "And so we'll wait."

12:10 PM EST: MONTANA SENATE RACE CALLED

Jon Tester addresses supporters at his victory party

November 6, 2018, 12:10 PM EST: ELECTION NIGHT, CNN Headquarters, Washington D.C.
CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM - CNN'S ELECTION DAY HEADQUARTERS

...

Wolf Blitzer: "And we've got breaking news from Montana. John King?"

John King: "That's right, we have just got in enough votes to be allow us to call the Montana Senate race for Democratic incumbent Jon Tester."

Wolf Blitzer: "So now we have called all the Senate races of the night, and pending the special election in Mississippi and any recounts in a few states, there has been no change in the composition of the Senate. After all this, no gains or losses on net for either side."

Anderson Cooper: "Let's go to our panel. What do you think of the final Senate results for the night?"

Republican Strategist: "Well, the House was rough for us, but the Senate much less so. This was a rough night for Republicans, but we held firm in the Senate. I think we have seen two different elections so far tonight, and tomorrow President Trump wil point to how we held on in the Senate as a victory. And you know what, there is still the possibility of picking up a seat or two in a recount on top of what we have seen tonight."

Democratic Strategist: "It's unfortunate not to have picked up any seats on net in the Senate, but realistically the Senate map was so unfavorable that just holding firm is a pretty big achievement. After tonight, Democrats will be in good position to beat President Trump in 2020 and win back the Senate then."

John King: "We've also got 3 more races to call. Democrats have won both the Iowa and Nevada Governor's mansions, and with that, the only Gubernatorial race we are waiting on is Alaska. And in the House, we've called CA-16 for Democrat Jim Costa - not really a surprise there, Jim Costa is re-elected."

Montana Senate is well within Automatic Recount by State Law. Tester needed to win by 5,000+ Votes to avoid it and he hasn't. So, Recounts in Indiana, Florida and Montana.

Meanwhile in Florida Volusia County corrected their Voting Error. There was 1 Precinct with 15,000 Votes which Scott won 10,000 to 5,000 but was accidently counted 10,000 Nelson to 5,000 for Scott. That will reduce Nelson's lead to about 17,000 and that's now well within a Hand Recount by State Law.

12:20 PM EST: CA-22, CA-49, and AK-GOV CALLED

Devin Nunes is re-elected

November 6, 2018, 12:20 PM EST: ELECTION NIGHT, CNN Headquarters, Washington D.C.
CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM - CNN'S ELECTION DAY HEADQUARTERS

...

John King: "And we have got three more results in. First of all, we have called Alaska's Gubernatorial race for Republican Mike Dunleavy. Bill Walker just took too much of the vote for Mark Begich to have a chance. And in the House, Mike Levin has won the open seat in CA-49. That is the first Democratic pickup in Orange County, California. There are several other competitive races there left to call. And Republican Devin Nunes has been re-elected."

John King: "We are getting up to 80-90% reporting in some of these competitive races in California and Washington, so we should be able to call more of them soon."

Wolf Blitzer: "What races should we be looking out for?"

John King: "One of them is CA-01 - very close now with 82% in, that is a big surprise. And then there is CA-10, CA-21, CA-25, CA-39, CA-45, CA-48, CA-50, WA-03, WA-05, WA-08, and AK-AL."

12:30 PM EST: CA-48, WA-08 CALLED

Another election, another Dino Rossi concession

November 6, 2018, 12:30 PM EST: ELECTION NIGHT, CNN Headquarters, Washington D.C.
CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM - CNN'S ELECTION DAY HEADQUARTERS

...

John King: "We've got two big house races to call. In CA-48, Harley Rouda has defeated Republican Incumbent Dana Rohrabacher. And in WA-08, Democrat Kim Schrier has defeated Republican Dino Rossi."

Wolf Blitzer: "Anything else?"

John King: "Yes, let's take another look at the House Popular vote now that a lot of California and Washington have come in:"

John King: "As you can see, over the past hour Democrats have gained ground and now are up to a 12 point lead in the House popular vote."

Wolf Blitzer: "Anything else?"

John King: "Nope."

Wolf Blitzer: "Well then, let's watch the 10 dumbest political ads in U.S. History:"

12:40 PM EST: LaMalfa Pulls Ahead in CA-01

Republican CA-01 Incumbent Doug LaMalfa pictured with President Trump

November 6, 2018, 12:40 PM EST: ELECTION NIGHT, CNN Headquarters, Washington D.C.
CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM - CNN'S ELECTION DAY HEADQUARTERS

...

Wolf Blitzer: "Do we have any more races to call now?"

John King: "No. But in CA-01, that was the surprise race with the tied exit poll, Republican incumbent Doug LaMalfa has finally pulled ahead. He is now up 51.2% to 48.8%. It looks like some of the more Republican precincts have reported later. In CA-10, we also have a very close race - 98% in, and Republican Incumbent Jeff Denham leads Democrat Josh Harder by just 50.3% to 49.7%. CA-21 is the same - 50.3% to 49.7% in favor of the Republican David Valadao, with 96% in. CA-39 is almost the same - 50.4% to 49.6% with 96% in. The Democrats have good leads in CA-25, CA-45, and the Republican Duncan Hunter has a good lead in CA-50."

John King: "And in Washington State, WA-05 is 50-50. 134,005 votes for Republican Incumbent Cathy McMorris Rogers to 133,907 for her Democratic challenger. But the Democrats are up by 2% in WA-03, with 97% reporting there."

Wolf Blitzer: "Anything else to say?"

John King: "..."

CA-1 is not a flippable district. It it home to multiple secession movements including the state of Jefferson and New California. It also includes the most Republican counties in the state. Also CA-4 has a Democrat running against the Republican and in a fantasy scenario would flip before CA-1, but neither is realistic. Both of these districts are extremely white there are no shy Hispanic voters to turnout. I point this out because your timeline has been mostly reasonable.

See, all you had to do was wait on CA-01 Tongue

Looks like a 241-194 D House and a 50-50 R Senate IIRC. Not a bad night at all.
