The 'unbeatable' Dean Heller just made a stupid comment regarding the Kavanaugh hearings.

Seriously, if Rosen doesn't have a thousand attack ads ready to hammer Heller about the Kavanaugh stuff, she's doing something very wrong.

Safe D->Safe D, obviously. Heller has no chance against Rosen in a Clinton +2 swing state where he's polling slightly behind.

Lmao what a stupid thing to say. Regardless of whether or not you believe the accusations, calling it a "little hiccup" is blatantly political and just a stupid, stupid quote.

The never ending Trump movement of getting Kavanaugh confirmed, is in NV right now, that's why Heller made this statement

What sloppy reporter wrote this article? Chuck Grassley is NOT a Democrat!

Well, we'll see. There's a decent argument out there that Joe Heck would have won the 2016 race if he hadn't been so hesitant to endorse Trump. Maybe unless your name is Brian Sandoval, the way to win in NV as a republican is to get maximum base turnout. Heller's certainly trying it out.

The way to win if you're a Republican in Nevada not named Sandoval is to run in a Republican wave year, or run against a Democrat facing an ethics investigation. Joe Heck would not have won by endorsing Trump, lol.

The fact is, if Heller somehow wins, it means Democrats are having a bad night. People who think that this race is a "Toss-Up" in a great year for Democrats have learned nothing from 2016.... or 2012, or 2010, or 2008, etc.

This will have the same impact as Bredesen's "gaffe", in other words: If Heller loses (which is very likely), it won’t be because of this. I agree with xingkerui that he is pretty overrated though, and if he somehow wins, Democrats are having a very bad night.

Dean Heller is now running ads trying to tie Jacky Rosen to Hillary Clinton. Brilliant strategy for the only GOP Senator in a Hillary state.

You are exaggerating the effect of this statement.  The anti Kavanaugh base is already on board against Heller.  GOP leaning women have no empathy for this 36 year old charge.   Those who are undecided will treat it as a blip.  They will be observing the results of the entire proceedings.  This error in vocabulary will have negligible effect.

Dude, you think Democrats will win Oklahoma, yet you're going to use "Clinton +2" as an argument for why Heller isn't DOA? LOL

I think Heller knows his only prayer at this point is if there's a miracle and the Republican base somehow turns out at a higher rate than the Democratic base, so from that perspective the strategery makes sense. Same for sucking up to Trump.

Edmondson is holding up well against Stitt (who's a very bad candidate by the way), Fallin's approvals (and unlike Malloy they tie into the race directly), and gubernatorial races being based on statewide politics more than national politics.

If Mary Fallin's 20% approval rating matters when she's not even on the ballot, then I'm pretty sure Heller's 34% approval rating matters when he actually is on the ballot.
