Well to get started, I am from this district, Ron DeSantis unfortunately has been my representative from 2013-2018, in 2016 he won this district by 17 points. This district is being targeted by the Red to Blue campaign as a district Democrats think they can flip.

Who are the candidates?

Democrats nominated Nancy Soderberg, a foreign policy adviser who was the 3rd ranking person on the National Security Council during the Clinton administration who helped broker peace in Northern Ireland. She was also one of the first to call for getting Osama Bin Laden in 1993.

Republicans nominated Michael Waltz, a Fox News contributor who was a Green Beret, who led the search for Bowe Berghdal, served as foreign policy adviser for the Bush Administration.

Fundraising:

So far

Nancy Soderberg has raised over 1.6 million and currently has 1.1 million on hand

Michael Waltz has raised 1.06 million and currently has 286,000 on hand.

Who's endorsing the candidates?

Nancy currently has the endorsements of Emily's List, Florida's AFL-CIO, Red to Blue campaign, New Dem Pac, Foreign Policy for America, NARAL, Union of Bricklayers and Craftworkers, Serve America, J-Street, Planned Parenthood.

Michael has the endorsements of President Trump, Defend Our Nation PAC, "With Honor", Chief of Police of Daytona Beach and Ron DeSantis.

What is the polling?

Currently Waltz has a very narrow edge over Nancy Soderberg with an average lead of 2.2 points

She could win but it would be short lived.

Wiki search Suzanne Kosmas who won a nearby district Florida in 2008 and lost it by a lot in 2010. This area isn't trending democratic and is probably too white to elect a democrat.
