The answer to avoiding abuse and having a fair and just system is and always is equal, not arbitrary justice.

Requiring anyone this happens to to petition congress which then must by 2/3rds agree that it happened seems pretty equal and nonarbitrary.

How is it not justice considering as she referenced there is precedent for doing so. What you tried to do was circumvent the law by moving and then deleting/editing the evidence before anyone could see it. Only mob guys would consider that to be just.

Then why did I put Alaska rather than, say, Kentucky?

It's obvious what happened is that I copy-pasted off Fhtagn's post right above, to save time and then didn't catch my error. When I did catch it I immediately changed it to Texas, which is what I should have done in the first place, all within 20 minutes.

You are letting your emotions cloud your judgement here.

What possible motivation would I have to try to circumvent the law? I haven't voted in quite some time, and I've missed Southern elections for which I was eligible to vote. There's no advantage to me being registered in Fremont from a tactical standpoint, and certainly not as a member of a minor party. Tactically, me being in Fremont is worse, rather than better.

Quote
We have move restrictions to cut down on strategic registration, which is very harmful to the regions and to regional interests.

Agreed. I have no issue with move restrictions. I just see a cool-down period as the appropriate means to accommodate situations like this. I'm surely not going to be the only one who gets tripped up by them. We have had them in the past and the current law should have this too.

Quote
Now I would agree the addendum at the end could cloud ones interpretation of the action taken, but that doesn't change the circumstances regarding the action itself. A conservative should oppose arbitrary law and a federalist conservative cares about the impacts on the regions.

I don't see how ruling based on the intent of the action constitutes arbitrary law. Intent is important.

Exactly. Sheesh. if someone can explain to me how it is tactically advantageous for me to register in Fremont over the South, I would love to hear it. It was just a typo.

I don't really understand why you would need to copy and paste the above poster's registration in the first place.

How much time are you really saving by doing that instead of simply writing

People make mistakes in the voting booth by copy/pasting another person's ballot, even in elections where only one or two things are being voted on.

Ive admittedly copied similarly short things. I know ive never physically typed any oath of office ive taken and rather just edit a quote of the last oath with the name and office swapped out.

This system was not designed for this purpose, ready my post in the other thread.

Can the ringleader of this poaching of Federalists to join the ACP explain which sort of ideological dividing lines you intend on having between yourselves and the Federalists? Lechasseur and TJ are obviously moderate on economics and fhtagn and PiT have some socially liberal views. So trying to call yourselves a pure "conservative" party isn't a valid claim. Not to mention that the ACP has no new thread and platform. So let's be open about the reasons why you're doing this.

The ACS is a joke and clearly has no true stake in electing conservatives to atlasian offices. If they did, they would still be federalists.

From what I see it's basically a protest to moderate hero fed politics that I helped establish in 2017 and has been ongoing since (and arguably before me as well but maybe not as openly). A movement that is pro-life and fiscally conservative, I guess. We will see what positions they say on the party platform etc

But what-if you really are moderate

Well to pick apart Barry Goldwater's quote from 1964:

While I agree that we should never moderate in the pursuit of justice, extremism has done far more to harm liberty than defend it.

Temperance, restraint and respect are not a vice and are essential to the defense of natural liberties as endowed in Article I of the Atlasian Constitution, whether that be gun rights, the right to trial by jury or free speech. The key foundation of this is that everyone has the same rights and those rights are respected.
