Will there be an October surprise? A game change for either party?
One that will significantly change the odds?
Possibly leading to a GOP House or Dem Senate?
If so, what would it be?

Yes I got no clue who or what it could be but it will at least be someone. Surprises and upsets are ALWAYS in every cycle. I’ll take a throw at it though and guess that it could be Cruz or Bredesen.

Pritzker is a likely candidate imo. Wouldn't be surprised in his case.

McCain funeral did have a net positive effect on the race, the Senate is back to a dead heat and who knows what happens in the House

Based on previous wave cycles, there should be an October jump for the Democrats, mostly due to the rise in Healthcare costs that happen around the same time, and the undecided vote finally becoming....decided.

Of course, something else could happen, a war, terrorist attack, perhaps a new GOP law commotion, really, its hard to tell.

McCain funeral and Hurricane Florence will once again help the GOP in red states, not blue states where ethnic minorities play a huge role MI, Pa and WI

Outside of AZ-SEN I fail to see how McCain’s funeral is going to shift public opinion towards the GOP, given his anti-Trump leanings.  Even if there was a pro-GOP bounce wouldn’t it essentially be balanced out by the Manafort plea?

That activist conservative Texas district judge strikes down ACA preexisting condition protections.

*Might actually happen before the end of September.

Well, this turned out to be basically correct - just that it is Kavanaugh, as opposed to a candidate directly.

Wow. And it is substantiated.

A "surprise" is, by definition, unpredictable, so there's no point in speculating about it.

Trump finally fires Sessions and potentially Rosenstein with it, since just firing Beauregard would make the latter acting Attorney General until a successor is confirmed what may take months.
