It depends on the result.

If Democrats fail to take over either chamber, I would be sad.

If they take over one chamber, I would be slightly relieved.

If they take over both chambers, I would be greatly relieved.

Sad.

Ignoring the past 2 years of Republican policies, this has been a really interesting time. From McCain's vote on Obamacare, Alabama almost electing a pedophile but deciding to pick their first Democratic Senator in 25 years, and the looming "Judgement Day" that we have in November, it's been intense. Certainly a lot of storylines from this 2016-2018 period, although I'm excited to see what 2018-2020 holds, especially if the Democrats take the House.

Relieved only if the Democrats win all of part of Congress.
Thrilled if they go on to voice progressive change without fear of losing moderate votes.

It's a wait-and-see on the results. As for the actual election hysteria, yeah, that would be sad to lose that.

Regardless of the result, the campaigns last for so long that I always get a little burned out by Election Day, so I feel some relief when it's over.  But within a few weeks I'm ready for the next cycle.

Surely - not sad. Relieved and somewhat burned, probably. As a result - will need "calm" 2019 to restore health and force. By early 2020 appetite for politics will arise again.

If Democrats at least pick up the House, relieved.

Relieved and Eagar that Dems will control both chambers after Nov. Change is in the air and there has been only once, since 2010, has the House flipped without the senate.

Totally depends on the result, but I don't think "sad" is really a possibility.

A mixture of both, I will be relieved that it is over and I don't have to obsess over politics anymore. On the other hand, I will be sad because I have nothing to look forward too. It's like a kid after Christmas. I have had to wait a agonizing 2 years to hold the Orange Clown accountable, so it will be a big night. I will certainly be ordering Pizza and drinking beer that night to celebrate or kill the pain.

I will be relieved if the Democrats have a good night. I still won't know what to think about 2020 though. Two years is a long time and having a Democratic Congress could end up backfiring as they become Trump's new boogeyman.

No. I’m ready to launch a million investigations into Trump and his crime family.
