So where do you stand at the moment?

What issue is driving your opinion?
What can change your opinion of the president?

In light of the furore, among Republicans, over him nominating Harriet Miers, it might have been interesting to add a partisan dimension

Somewhat disapprove.

Bush has been wholly lackluster in his second term.  His speeches fall flat and in turn he can't get his messages across to the public. His policies in general either can't get going or are going downhill. He's a big goober in his public appearances; now that the campaign is over, he should start using more complicated and impressive rhetoric rather than reaching into his bag of 30-or-so catchphrases. Can you say "inn-tay-grit-tee?"

And now he's failed to grasp one of the greatest political opportunities ever presented to the Republican party to nominate a Hispanic to the Supreme Court, instead opting for a woman whose only qualification is that she won a Helen Thomas look-alike contest.

Needless to say, I'm not impressed.

umm...STRONGLY disapprove....

This country is going to hell in a hand basket.  GWB couldn't run our country into the ground any worse if he was intentionally trying to do so.

Strongly Disapprove. I'd explain why, but I'd start foaming at the mouth.

Strongly disapprove.

Around election day, I would have said somewhat, but this year, it seems that everything Bush does, he does wrong.

EDIT: 19%?  Bob Taft may have competition.

I know I'm an outliner, but I approve of his performance so far.  While many things have not been completed yet, he's done a lot to stir up government and get the public involved.  However, again, this is just a popularity poll at the moment.  The true measurement of his performance will come years after he has left office.

Strongly disapprove. It will take years for the country to make up for Bush's blunders and even longer for the Republican Party.

This is a brilliant point.  We may not even know in our lifetime.

I strongly approve BTW.

What can change your opinion of the president (sic)?

Nothing.

He needs to be put on trial for crimes against humanity.

When you have a bunch of knee-jerk reactionaries like bandit and Cashcow, what do you expect?

I find it amusing that you've managed to categorise Cashcow and Bandit together on...anything.

They are pretty much identical on anything related to the GOP.

Except that I vote for them about 1/3 of the time?
