What the left calls sexual assault is not always legal, real, lawful sexual assault. I am just stating a fact.

Value voters

I do meet many women who kinda shrug and say, "Boys will be boys." Most of the triggered people seem to be in more trendy cosmopolitan urban areas and college age.

Are you seriously legitimizing sexual assault as acceptable societal behavior?

Of course not, if it's real assault.

For example, "cat calling" is not "sexual assault". Repeatedly asking on dates is not "sexual assault". If some married dude lies to a girl and says he is single to get in another girls pants, then confesses he just used her for sex, that's not "sexual assault" if the sex was consensual.

Remember, the vast majority of men agree with me:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/10/26/survey-shows-how-uninformed-men-are-about-sexual-harassment/?utm_term=.05d2b78c3c4c

Per Oct 2017 Washington Post poll:
1 in 3 respondents don’t think catcalling is sexual harassment.
2 in 3 don’t think repeated unwanted invitations to drinks, dinner or dates is sexual harassment.
Nearly 1 in 5 don’t think sexual harassment is a fireable offense.

That's alot of head winds from men. To millions of men, rape is the stranger criminal in a ski-mask in a dark alley with a knife. Maybe the Cosby date rape drug stuff. In the absence of that, sexual assault isn't always what you lefties call sexual assault.

Maybe the Cosby date rape stuff? Maybe?! What the ?!?!

There is indeed a wavelength of severity when it comes to sexual misconduct but that doesn't mean that it isn't all some degree of bad though.

That's ridiculous.

Which means it would be par for the course for the GOP.

This guy is a f***ing sexual predator. There will be hell to pay if the GOP rams this guy through, and the cashier will be the women of America.

To be fair, Avenatti's assumption of what it meant wasn't based in any facts related to the group of friends who referenced it, nor was it very convincing.

Absolutely disgusting, and yet totally expectable.

And just putting that out there kinda forces Dems to only focus on the ones brave enough to be public, out of fear that it could be a Republican troll job.

That's ridiculous.

Which means it would be par for the course for the GOP.

Yeah, this is something we should keep in mind as more and more of these allegations start to mount. At some point, some people could try to plant false accusations, and then a little bit later also plant something that exposes the accusations as false. The fact that one accusation had then been shown to be false could then be used as a way to try to delegitimize other accusations that may (or may not) be perfectly valid.

This does not necessarily mean that anyone, or any group will/has necessarily done that, but just that we should be on guard and aware of the possibility. Not every allegation is necessarily true or made in good faith (which is not to say that we should assume that this is true of any particular allegation).

This is not even necessarily something that Americans would do, but also could be done by foreigners (e.g. Russia). In Russia's case, I would think something like that could fit in with their desire to interfere in American politics/elections again - and not just as a way to help Trump by backing his nominee. The making of more and more accusations also inflames our politics generally, and makes the left angry. If an allegation is shown to be false, it would likewise make the right angry. Sowing discord is what Russia would want (in this hypothetical example of Russian interference). Or who knows, since Trump mentioned Chinese interference, another country such as China could do that as well (hypothetically).

Again, I am not saying that any accusations are false. Nor am I saying that anyone in parcticular (any group, or any country) is doing so or will do so. The example of Russia is just a hypothetical example of the sort of thing that could be worth being watchful for.

All I am trying to say is that as the # of allegations now seems to be exponentially increasing, we should all be careful and remember that the point is not that every allegation necessarily has to be true, but that legitimate allegations deserve respect, deserve to be taken seriously, and should be investigated - but we do not know in advance what exactly a serious investigation would reveal.

If only there were some national law enforcement organization that could quickly investigate which of these accusations were credible and which weren't.

Perhaps a Bureau. Or maybe even a Federal Bureau?

This seems to be something that we are lacking in the United States. A Federal Investigatory Bureau. I think we should all call on our Senators and Representatives to pass legislation establishing a Federal Investigatory Bureau capable of handling these sorts of matters.
