Standing by my prediction that DeSantis wins. It’ll be a squeaker either way.

Remember you promised to eat a MAGA hat if Gillum wins.

Better not back out.

From 538 liveblog:

We have about 400,000 early votes in Broward County, Florida, one of the bluest counties in the state. Bill Nelson leads Rick Scott 71 to 28 percent, and Andrew Gillum leads Ron DeSantis 71 to 29 percent. Hillary Clinton won Broward 66 to 31, but we have to wait for the full Election Day vote, which will probably lean more Republican.

Remember when Atlas mocked Florida Dems for choosing Gillum? Now he’s about to comfortably beat DeSanris and carry Nelson over with him

I was one of those people and I am so embarrassed about that. I have actually grown to really like Gillum and the next time I see an alligator in person, I promise to kiss it to honor Florida for finally not disappointing me!

Chuck Todd on NBC who am I normally follow as much as, well, Chuck Todd, but he just noted that of the 10% vote out almost all of it is from Miami-Dade, still 1/4 out, Broward County, still half out, and I'm not even going to try to translate this in voice to text but the county with Gainesville and it has only 1% of the vote in.

Yeah, Gillum and Nelson have this.

I never believed the large leads in the polls for Gillum and Nelson or that "swing voters" would come in and save the day. The truth is a lot of the population growth areas in the state is heavily Republican. They turnout their voters like crazy and they're very partisan. The Florida GOP runs up the score in these areas and it all adds up to a victory or a close election.

Florida Democrats need to start registering more Democrats, getting bigger margins and squeezing everything they can out of the big counties, and they need to do something to at least compete in the rest of the state.

DeSantis lead isn't shrinking at all despite more votes coming in from Dade and Broward. He will win

Well they can start with all their convicts that will now be permitted to flock there.

Ex felons don't vote. They've already studied this. And although African Americans are over incarcerated(unfairly), there are still way more white ex-felons in Florida who are likely Republican voters and also more likely to vote.

Florida is an embarrassment to this country.

No it isn't. Too many people still refuse to vote. You can't blame the other side for voting. Sumter county(The Villages) had 96,497 registered voters and casted 74,956 ballots, a turnout of 77.68% in a freaking midterm. Which probably means that Republican turnout was in the 80's in that county. You'll see similar stories in other counties.

I voted for Ron DeSantis in this thread’s poll, and I’m very sorry that I was right.
