Mick Cornett: Oklahoma city mayor, moderate republican. He has a decent lead in polls over Drew Edmondson and has a strong voter base in west/central Oklahoma.

Kevin Stitt: Tulsa Businessman and strong social conservative. He has endorsements from quite a few Oklahoma politicians, alongside endorsements from people such as Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Rick Santorum (R-PA). He has a base in the Tulsa/east central Oklahoma region. Unfortunately for him, he is trailing Drew Edmondson in hypothetical polling.

This thread is for updates, commentary, discussion, etc. as we head into a night which might very well determine Oklahoma's next governor.

I'm keeping an eye on it. Nothings in yet, but Stitt seems more likely for the majority of Lamb's voters.

Not much so far, but Stitt is crushing!

EDIT: Okay now it's tightened a bit.

EDIT: And now it's opened up for Stitt again. If it opens up anymore by the time I get home, I'm calling it.

Rural vote is in and Stitt's advantage in Tulsa can match Cornett's in OKC.  It's over.

STITT has won OK GOV!

He isn't polling as good against Edmondson, this will be a general to watch.

Kevin Stitt has won the race to be the next governor of Oklahoma. Of course, he'll need to dispense with the token opposition first.

Real shocker, though I'm a bit surprised it wasn't a double digit blowout.

Stitt seems like an idiot. I think I'm gonna go with Edmondson.

Of course, they couldn't go with the safe moderate and they had to throw in an arrogant, inexperienced, Santorum/Cruz plant.

So long ago, the good old days of Frank Keating.

Because Oklahoma is well known for their moderate Republicans and aversion to Cruz/Santorum types? The state is far, far, FAR right and Cruz and Santorum both won the primary there, lol.
