FAU
FL-Sen
Scott (R) 45%
Nelson (D) 39%

I think this race is moving to Lean R.

You have to be really talented to manage to lose a race as an incumbent Democrat in a swing state in a blue-leaning year.

Guys, can I be real here and say that this is starting to look really bad without being lambasted as a troll?

I wouldn't be panicking if I were Nelson if a poll with a fair amount of undecideds showed me down 3 months before election day. Cause for concern, but not panic.

I always thought Nelson was hilariously overrated, but even I never expected him to be the most vulnerable Democratic incumbent this year. This race is "only" still a Tossup because of the national environment.

Nelson needs to step it up, or he's going to lose.

This poll last found Scott 4 points ahead, so the past two polls really aren't suggesting movement toward Scott. Still a Toss-Up.

You're not a troll.  It was looking really bad a month ago.  And Democrats were warned a couple of months ago that Rick Scott was laying down some sturdy foundations.  Rick Scott has been working over the last year to increase his approval rating, and he's bombarded the airways with positive campaign messages.  Everyone seems to know Rick Scott, but Bill who?

I might consider joining the hair on fire brigade regarding this race if some decent pollsters show Nelson trailing after the primary, but until then I recommend Xanax.

Ive seen no Rick Scott bumper stickers here but Ive seen 2 Nelson stickers. The polls are not capturing the excitement.

Imagine this...

Florida screws Democrats out of the US Senate like it did out of the presidency in 2000..

Like Missouri there has been enough evidence that Republicans are favored in this race.

MO: Tilt R

FL: Lean R.

Labor Day weekend sounds like a good chance for you to go to a NAMBLA meeting

I don't know the pollster, but I have a feeling Nelson blows this while FL elects a Dem governor. How would he do if Hillary was president?

Nah. I've made this point here before, but Nelson mostly runs his own shop. This has mostly worked to his advantage in past years, but if he loses, it's all on him.
