Someone mentioned its interesting how the Green Party can intersect these two, or as it put then "people triggered by Halloween costumes."

Pro-Putin left is far worse. Putin is a Trump-endorsed far-right imperialist who poisons people.

I'm not pro-Putin, but I do sympathize with pro-Putin Russians though not the man himself. It's easy to see why people living under a decade of Yeltsin would rally around him.

Option 2 because option 1 is just a name given to people on the left who don't like American foreign policy.

Actually, there's many on the "left" who rail against American imperialism but support or turn a blind eye to Russian imperialism.

The actual Pro-Putin left is pretty small, but I voted option 2 because I'm sure anyone who likes someone like Glenn Greenwalk gets smeared as Pro-Putin.

"Pro-Putin left" is a name that is given to anyone that criticises US foreign policy. So #2.

Jill Stein's running mate was openly pro-Putin and supported the invasion of Crimea.

A majority of Crineans supported the annexation, the West’s response was one of aggression and a hardening of Cold War politics so the military industrial complex could make more money over war.

He also claimed MH17 was a false flag shot down in a NATO/Zionist conspiracy.

Lol. Yeah, and Saddam Hussein won 100% of the vote.

In Ukraine, Party of Regions was extremely strong there a strongly Russophile and pro-Russia party. The Crimean parliament at that time supported the annexation.

From Wikipedia;

A joint survey by American government agency Broadcasting Board of Governors and polling firm Gallup was taken during April 2014.[260] It polled 500 residents of Crimea. The survey found that 82.8% of those polled believed that the results of the Crimean status referendum reflected the views of most Crimeans, whereas 6.7% said that it did not. 73.9% of those polled said that they thought that the annexation would have a positive impact on their lives, whereas 5.5% said that it would not. 13.6% said that they did not know.[260]

A comprehensive poll released on 8 May 2014 by the Pew Research Centre surveyed Crimean opinions on the annexation.[261] Despite international criticism of 16 March referendum on Crimean status, 91% of those Crimeans polled thought that the vote was free and fair, and 88% said that the Ukrainian government should recognise the results.[261]

Few intellectually honest people deny that the majority of Crimeans wished to join Russia.

Option 2 is causing far more serious problems to American discourse. Nobody listens to Option 1.

Most of the "left" was pro-Putin in 2012 when Romney was mocked for calling Russia America's number one geopolitical foe.

Then again, much of the #resistance was still in the Republican party at this point as well. Now that imperialist war criminals / war criminal apologists like Frum and Kristol have by and large migrated to the Democrats, they're trying to purge the party of any rational, antiwar voices by associating them with Putin.

Lockheed's shareholders must love this development - one party to lower their corporate tax bill and the other to froth up security hysteria to juice those weapons contracts.
