After losing the nomination in 2020 to Elizabeth Warren (who has been elected and pledged to only serve one term) Kamala Harris successfully runs for and wins the Democratic nomination for President in 2024. She selects Beto O'Rourke (who successfully knocked off Ted Cruz in 2018) as her running mate.
Republicans have a drawn out primary process, but in the end the man with the most cash, Rick Scott (who knocked off Bill Nelson in 2018) won the nomination, and he selected Mia Love as his running mate.
Warren remains personally popular, but many actions taken by her administration (like breaking up big banks by force) are unpopular with Independents and swing voters.
Who wins, and why? (Maps would be appreciated)
