I think what we're seeing is that since Trump lacks the wit to come up with insults more complex than those of a not-particularly-bright grade schooler, he takes criticism he's heard directed at himself (probably when obsessive watching cable news) and goes 'yeah, you'.

In all seriousness, as brilliant as "Make America Great Again" is as a slogan for its simplicity and vagueness-this new slogan is terrible! I'm sure it will resonate with his base, because they are the most easily influenced people on the planet, but it's just so stupid.

If he had him throw a complete game shutout and then got dominated in game 7, I guarantee you he would be criticized for that. That's all true but IMO you have to focus on winning the game tonight. Already being down 2-1 in the series and knowing that you have to go back to Boston places even more importance on tonight's game, which was a must win IMO.

Well, in 2016, Joe Maddon threw everything at winning each game in the WS and got criticized for it because his closer faltered in game 7 from overuse. :shrugs:
