Anyway this is like Duncan Hunter's seat in which there are two possible outcomes: Collins/Hunter loses and is replaced by a one term wonder who loses in 2020, or Collins/Hunter wins, resigns before 2020 and a different Republican wins the special election.

Not much difference long term.
