Since white people are privileged and have advantages that black people and Latino people don't have which is a true fact, do you think that a future Democratic Congress along with a future Democratic president would pass legislation and sign legislation to institute a massive white privilege tax that ALL white Americans must pay yearly in their tax returns?

I do believe the IRS, state and federal government knows your race/ethnicity due to names on the forms, etc.

Would a white privilege tax pass a future Democratic Congress and would the "oppressors (white people) pay this tax to truly help the "oppressed" in their communities?

Would the taxes truly go to the impoverished areas or not?

Sounds like a great idea.

Yes, would only fulfill an Obama policy.

This would be blatantly unconstitutional.

However its also so absurd I feel wrong even pointing that out.

As long as Democrats pander to “underprivileged” minorities, I think they would have the nerve to push something like this. Rich Democrats full of white guilt wouldn’t mind while the rest of us suffer.

It’s actually not unconstitutional at all. You just have a very poor understanding of the constitution !

Obviously not, but I could picture the San Francisco Board of Supervisors trying something like that.

Ignoring the blatantly unconstitutionality, how would that work? A city can't institute an income tax, and it obviously can't be imposed as a sales tax.

Doesn't matter. They see this as something that could plausibly happen now that the Democratic Party is an anti-white hate group. Facts don't matter to American voters (and especially to Appalachian voters.) How many of them thought Obama was a Kenyan Muslim?

It's not trolling.

A percentage of base voters in the Democratic Party would support this.

If a percentage of base voters in the Republican Party align with Richard Spencer and alt-right, the far left of the Democratic Party who has views that are anti-white is possible.

The millennials of color, etc. are not fond of white privilege and nor should they.

White people should know that they have aspects of white privilege, but could they be forced to pay to atone for it.

That is what some leftists in left and leftist parties would propose as a political playbook strategy to atone for the white oppression.

This is not trolling, it is possible one day.

How about a property tax on white property owners?

How about a property tax on white property owners?

Identifying such property owners who are "white" is just the first problem with that.

Have to laugh at everyone laughing this off. There are people who support reparations. A lot. I think it's not far-fetched at all that Democrats will ultimately support special reparations taxes on white people.

There's also "a lot" of people who want to return to the gold standard, but that doesn't mean that has any chance of ever happening or of getting majority support amongst the Republican Party.

Also do you seriously think the Democrats would do something that would utterly ensure a Republican landslide next election? Which this would.

While this is definitely too far, the Democrats basically tried to lose the 2016 election.
