The reason I believe we should pass this bill is

- Creates checks and balances for agencies who create new regulations

- Makes sure regulations that have costs outweigh the benefit don’t get implemented

- Makes it easier for outdated regulations to be removed our reformed

Speaking as the chair of the regulatory commission of Lincoln, I could not support this bill as it currently stands. A regulatory system must be independent of the special interests, namely that of two dozen PCs in Nyman, that control the government. Besides having chaired the Lincoln regulatory board for what will be two years in September, I also wrote the book on how to establish such a commission. I am prepared to contact any lawmakers interested in such a program on a federal level.

Let me repeat: this legislation lacks substance or meaning. I can create an independent department, with the ability to control legislations and, if you want, as OSR implies, the capability to fully audit any sector of government.

This is a great bill for actually creating a check on unelected bureaucrats who can pass laws at will without any oversight by Congress.
