Tossup. I have a friend that lives in Georgia who voted for Trump, and he is voting for Abrams.
I think it's going to be a lot closer than people expect.
Were they a hard Trump supporter or did they just dislike Hillary?
He's a registered Republican. Voted in Ohio for Trump in 2016 before moving last year. Trump wasn't his first pick out of the primary (Rand Paul was) but he was open to giving him a chance at the start of his term, and thought that he could do well. I talked to him about Trump last month and he will very likely support him for re-election in 2020.
I believe there are a decent amount of "hidden" voters out there like him which will make the race a tossup. These people are voting for Abrams for various reasons. In the case of my friend, he thinks we need significant criminal reform and Abrams would be more likely to offer that.
