I’d say a religious Democrat who was turned off by Clinton’s sex scandals, but they would probably go for Perot before Bush.

Me. That's how I voted those two times. I had a distinct change in philosophy in 1989, and I decided I was wrong to vote for Dukakis for the reason that I voted for him.

There were 24 Dukakis-Bush counties. 13 in IA, 4 in TX, 2 each in NE, ND, and SD, and 1 in MT. All were in very rural areas.

Looks like a few disgruntled farmers changed their minds on Bush and a few Bentsen fans didn't like Clinton.
