Let's imagine that Elizabeth Warren is the Democratic nominee. Who would you choose for her running mate?

I think Heinrich could be a good pick for Warren and would balance the ticket well. A younger male candidate with decent experience and acceptable progressive credentials but who could also have moderate appeals.

I think I'd pair her with a man of color, someone like Ruben Gallego

Tammy Baldwin or Tammy Duckworth.  Or pick another Tammy, like perhaps Tammy II from Parks and Rec.

I could see Steve Bullock or Tim Ryan. Sherrod Brown would probably only be asked if Cordray wins this year since the senate will likely be in the balance too.

Needs a non- D.C. person as a VP. Bullock and Cooper make  a lot of sense.

Someone from a list Tammy Duckworth, Colleen Hanabusa (if she actually gets elected Governor this year), Gavin Newsom or Tammy Baldwin.

A black or Hispanic man would be best. Maybe someone like Anthony Brown based on these characteristics alone.

If not that, then KC Mayor Jason Kander.

Sherrod Brown. He would help her shed the idea that she is a Coastal Elite, and have someone progressive and populist to really help her take the Rust Belt back.

The election will be won or lost in the Midwest.

Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is the best pick.

Well educated, well experienced.

Would do no harm to the Presidential candidate.

Could help swing Ohio and possibly some other Midwest states to the Democrats.

Bullock, Heinrich, or Sherrod Brown if Cordray is elected Governor of Ohio.

My preference would be sexgod Michael Dukakis, but I figure that it would be unconstitutional?

its not unconstitutional, i believe it just makes it so massachusetts can't vote for both of them? I'm not a constitional lawyer and haven't read up on this in a while so I'm not sure. He could also just switch his place of living to get around that constitional tidbit. Of course if Warren did chose Dukakis it wouldn't matter and they'd win a 50 state landslide.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Il.), Fmr. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder (D-N.Y.), Gov. Roy Cooper (D-N.C.), Gov. Stacey Abrams (D-Ga.), Fmr. Sec. of Labor & DNC Chairman Tom Perez (D-Md.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Ct.), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Mn.)

I was trying to find someone who contrasts with Warren in terms of experience, ideology, identity, and/or "establishment vs. populist" appeal.

Let me be clear.

If the Democratic Presidential nominee is a woman, I can guarantee, 100%, that the Vice Presidential candidate will be a man, not a woman.

Two women on the Democratic Presidential ticket is sheer fantasy.

Not gonna happen.

The Democrats already have a deficit with male voters, so they are not going to make it worse by having two women on the ticket.

You can take that to the bank.

Cordray himself could also be asked, if elected Governor this year. He'd have a similar appeal, and Warren I imagine likes him due to is time leading the CFPB. And Cordray would be replaced by a Democrat (his Lt. Governor, Betty Sutton) if elected VP.

Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of people who would be turned off by 2 women on the ticket were already voting Republican anyway.

Heinrich, Bullock, Tester, S. Brown (obvious caveat is obvious), D. Jones (if his senate race looks hopeless), Bennet

Not Kander
