For sure. Or to flip for a Murkowski independent run. As for the general reaction- I believe the vast majority of Republicans would, at this point, support impeachment and only a small fraction of the base, the anti-American Trumpists, would remain to support Trump. People are way too sensitive to selling such a huge and rich territory, and for a good reason.

Which is why Trump would never do that.

Same reason he took back Crimea: it was seen as "originally Russia's", and taking it back would basically just be for conquest purposes. (to make Russians feel good).

Of course it is a ridiculous scenario but it cuts to the core of the issue.  Is there really any line Trump could cross which would cause his supporters to turn on him?  He called Canada and Western Europe our enemies and then publicly supported an aggressive dictatorship over the American Intelligence community.

If you still support him after that then there really is no line left.  You are a lemming.
