I would point out that this would require some crazy shenigans and that most presidential elections are not close electorally. But ehh, it would mean taking a supermajority in the senate, I guess.

Assuming the Dem won the PV, and especially if she or he didn't, my reaction would be (a) a certain amount of relief and (b) thoughts and prayers for the President-elect as she or he sought to lead a deeply divided nation.
