Ask FDR how that went. I'm against packing the court, but think there should be an age limit of 75 years.

Anyway, the dude is not a contender I take seriously. It looks like a PR stunt. We have already someone who "plays president". We need a real one who understands the job.

The Democratic version of Trump wants to pack the courts. How lovely.

Avenatti wrote in a NYT op/ed that "there are many indications" that there's enough evidence to support indicting Trump, and that if so, an indictment should be brought while he's POTUS, even if no impeachment takes place:

Avenatti says that maybe there are other Democratic candidates who would make a better president than him, but he'd be the best at beating Trump:

I keep telling myself  Avenatti is doing this for a book deal, or a MSNBC contract. I bet he runs, and #Resistance goons will eat it up. However, once he gets on a debate stage with people who know  policy. Sanders, Harris, Bullock, etc he will get exposed.

There may be some parallels between Avenatti and Ben Carson, as people who haven't held office but got publicity for a willingness to fight the president. Carson seems to be better as a doctor than Avenatti is as a lawyer and has a more compelling biography, but it may be a template for Avenatti.

Maybe. I see Avenatto working for a Dem admin, maybe as special adviser in the WH or some senior position in the Justice Dept. (not AG yet, at least not the first term).

Slum lawyers from California don't scare me. He talks about morals. Do you really think he's been doing all this work for Stormy Daniels without fringe benefits? If anyone does, I have two tickets to the Warren/Waters inaugural ball I'd like to sell you.

Your hero #45 is the very last person in America to lecture anyone about morals.

You joke. I know President of the United States material when I see it. Undefeated in my lifetime!

Nothing screams presidential more than Catholic school transfer to the University of Pennsylvania.

Wait, really? You think that Trump can attack Avenatti for...having sex with Stormy Daniels?

Did you think this through?

He will have his support. He is a guy who will run on "Trump sucks" there are a number of #Resist who will eat his tough guy talk up. Will he crumble when he has to debate Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and other much more intelligent Democrats? Yes. But he will make noise.

He better hope his "bombshell" coming "in the next 48 house"  isn't a dud and doesn't do more harm than good... or his bid will be over before it starts.

Yes. As I've said several times, the Kavanaugh allegations are now guaranteed to result in a good outcome for Democrats - either the allegations gain legitimacy or Avanatti's chances at the nomination drop to zero.

I wonder how Avenatti's chances at the nomination were if he was a Republican crusading against a Democratic president with Trump's scandals. Since the GOP nominated a reality TV star, I wouldn't be surprised if his chances were pretty good.

Avenatti's going to get like 2% in Iowa and drop out. People thinking he has shot at the nomination because he's a "tough talker" or something are peak Atlas loons who watch too much cable news.

If he doesn't produce the supposed accuser he has up his sleeve, I don't see why anyone should listen to him.
