What event hurt the GOP the most since Trump’s inauguration? I’m talking with their public image with certain demographics, and I mean something specific and not just, say, Trump in general.

Healthcare is the only thing to significantly damage them, judging from the polling.

Healthcare was probably their biggest embarrassment from a policy standpoint as they ran on repealing Obamacare since 2010 and couldn't do it (thank God) with control of all three branches of Government. As far a what Damaged their overall image the most, pick anything from Charlottesville to Family Separation. I'd also add the part about Trump praising Kim Jung Un because his people sit up at attention when he speaks, and that he (Trump) wishes his people would do the same, that to makes Trump and the GOP look bad.

I think the tax bill is going to hurt them the most - with it, they basically owned the state of the economy. That's good for them now, but I think it will hurt them down the road. How badly will depend on what happens and when. Maybe the economy will stay irrationally good through the end of Trump's term, but I doubt it. We'll be looking at a Bush-style collapse, only bigger. And, for everyone who isn't  a cultist, the GOP is going to own that crash (and cultists are only a quarter of eligible voters).

Healthcare is the only one on this list that a large chunk of America votes about, so that one.

It's difficult to answer, as none of these happened in a vacuum, and each successive issue builds on the damage done by those that went before. I personally think the immigration issue will prove to be the most damaging.

Definitely health care. Tax bill second. Family separation might be third when the dust settles, but we've yet to see that.

Republicans would be in much worse shape this November had they successfully kicked 20 million people off their health insurance

From an election standpoint, I have to wonder if family separations may cause a lot of the ~35% of Hispanic voters who vote Republican to change their vote or stay home in November.  It may be enough to tip some congressional or state legislative seats.

The healthcare issue. Prior to that, it was just a bunch of pussy-hats and impotent moaning in the streets, but that debacle presented a plethora of opportunities and hot-button moments that definitely impacted public opinion more than anything (and more than for a few days).

The tax bill was more or less expected, so I think the effects of it were minimal. Immigration-related issues are the type of thing everybody gasps over but doesn't really care about; not going to impact votes outside of those who it affects.

Everything listed should have hurt the GOP more than they have. If we lived in a more just timeline this party wouldn't exist anymore. Alas, this not the case.

Every one of those is a blunder, but the family separations demonstrate to an inordinate degree the cruelty of this Administration even if it has the insulating layer of 'federal contractors'.
