In all seriousness, how in the hell did a prank caller get through to AF1? That’s a seriously worrying security breach

As much as hilarious the situation is, it's hard to expect from any President to stop and think "hey! Wait a minute, what if it's a prank call?" In the staff can't see this, it reflect badly on them.

Obama's staff would have never let this happen. This is why you don't put old white trusting Christian ladies in charge of the switchboards.

This administration totally hires the best people. It takes skill and experience to connect an imposter to the President aboard Air Force One.

I agree, absolutely. Speaks poorly of the AF1 staff rather than Trump, who has a reasonable expectation that his official calls are being screened for legitimacy

this call was not on a secure line

Which begs the question of why unsecured calls are being accepted/allowed on AF1

AF1 has non-secure voice communication.  The call was forwarded from WH staff, why would AF1 operators not allow a call from the WH operators?

Obviously this is very concerning for security reasons, but the call itself wasn't that bad. Trump didn't come off as a "private position vs public position" kind of politician and didn't say anything that would compromise him.

Bad move. When Trump realizes that this was a prank call he will double down in the other direction and appoint the worst justice possible (even though he was already going to do that) out of spite. That's how Trump's mind works.
