Adam Laxalt refuses to support Dennis Hof. Donna Cox now endorses Ryan Bundy for Governor.

Good riddance. For once Laxalt is doing something not insane and not far right.

lol why? every candidate supports the president who is pretty much a repeat felon in regards to sexual assault and harassment, why is Dennis Hof, a perhaps equally grotesque POS considering certain charges against him, any different?

Then we get another loony rural Republican in the state assembly. Unless the Mormon vote comes in droves for the Dem candidate, this seat is Safe R.

Sad to say I think this hurts Laxalt a bit in the rural vote, which loves to vote 3rd party.

I'd say he is overwhelmingly favored to win until proven otherwise. AD-36 went for Trump by over 30 points and for Romney by somewhat less but still > 20 points. It's Republican enough to absorb an intermediate backlash against him, if that even happens. I think the Trump era has shown us just how tribal things can get, and this district doesn't really fit the profile of a place trending to Democrats in any way, which is something Democrats depended on even in the Alabama Senate special election.

Given that he got 40% in 2016 as a Libertarian, it's all but guaranteed he has this one in the bag.

I mean to be fair the eastern part of the district is heavily LDS so that part may vote against him but that'll be nowhere near enough; Hoff is literally a perfect fit for most of the district.

I want to see Nye County (or any other random rural NV county) vote for Bundy. Just to add a bit of color to the map. This will obviously hurt Laxalt.

Also, this is the first that I've heard of Ryan Bundy running for governor. Guess I haven't been following the race for NV-Gov closely.

Nope.

And no, I can't think of anything that hasn't already been uncovered that will cause him to lose

Doesn't happen often, you know. Laxalt will get destroyed by Sisolak.

Because of the person the Democrats ran for President in 2016 and the pass she got from the enforcement of the law, Trump’s past did not end up being disqualifying.  Whether they will become disqualifying in 2020 is yet to be determined.

Will the gubernatorial race help Steven Horsford in NV-04?

Any word on Hof's opponent? This may very well be a Roy Moore moment for NV Republicans.
