It won't be a slaughterfest, but Hogan is definitely favored. I think he wins by mid-to-high single-digits.

Are you sure that Larry Hogan won't get defeated this year?

The race could change in 5 months, but it's not looking likely at the moment.

Looks like this will be a battle of DC vs Baltimore. DC has more votes - especially since DC voters are more motivated do to intimate connections to Washington and Trump. But Baker also has to negotiate the Mandaleno base in Montgomery...

I previously said I'd vote for Hogan if Jealous was the nominee, but I now have changed my mind. I will vote for Jealous over Hogan for one simple reason: education policy.

As of now I would say Jealous is the favorite, he’s doing better in the DC region than Baker is in the Baltimore region.

71% of Prince George's is in, and Baker is still down 8 with most of Baltimore City out. Jealous is favoured.

Interestingly, David Blair is down to representative Marc Elrich in the county executive race, despite Blair spending way more. While I was in the county I saw a lot more Elrich signs and workers then Blairs (and never a blair worker), maybe Blair slept through the race.

Here's hoping Hogan isn't as skilled Claire McCaskill...still, the odds seem better with him than Anthony Brown 2.0

Blair has pulled ahead of Elrich...by 600 votes(<1%). It shouldn't be this close, Blair had the WashPo endorsement.

As a Dem I would seriously consider voting for Hogan, luckily I won’t have to be faced with that choice.

Hogan is favored, but MA and MD have surprise winners, and Ben Jealous is beloved by blacks, unlike Anthony Brown, when the black vote dropoff.

I don't know why Jealous would motivate blacks anymore than Brown could. Brown had a way higher profile and background (Lt. Gov, militarty etc) and more $$. I'm still at a loss as to why Brown couldn't motivate them in '14.

Jealous was NAACP chair, but Mfume lost to Cardin, and he was part of NAACP. Brown is a DC insider.

I legitimately did not expect Ben Jealous to win. Hadn’t polling out him in second or third?
