Trump: 477 EV's
Cuomo: 58 EV's
Write-ins: 3 EV's

EDIT: This was too generous to Cuomo. Trump would win Maryland and Hawaii.

Cuomo would be a dreadful candidate but he wouldn't lose that miserably. Trump would flip ME-AL, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Nevada.

Perhaps it's a testament to how much of a misstep nominating Cuomo would be, that I took it seriously.

I don't get the hate for Cuomo. His record as governor isn't so bad and his corruption issues are peanuts compared to Trump. He'd at least beat him by a close margin, probably more like Obama 2012 numbers.

I don't get why people think Cuomo is so horrible tbh. I could see him winning.

Even if he is a weak candidiate, I can think of a lot of Democrats who would be much weaker. Tulsi Gabbard, Maxine Waters, and Eric Garcetti, just to name a few.

Cuomo just barely squeaks over the 270 line, but he'd better pick a good VP, because given his ethical problems as New York Governor, he's getting impeached almost right away.

Andrew Cuomo: 307 EVs, 52%
Donald Trump: 231 EVs, 45%
Others: 0 EV, 3%

This is a serious map with a somewhat credible result.

President Donald Trump (R-FL) / Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN)
Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) / Fmr. National Security Advisor Susan Rice (D-DC) ✓

Obviously a lot has changed since 2018.

I was about to say that people need to stop smoking meth for thinking Cuomo would lose in a landslide, until I saw the dates of the posts LOL.

Even then, it was a stretch, but obviously yes, things have changed since 2018. I’m not sure he would have done better than Biden, but he certainly could have won.

I agree, but he certainly could have lost as well.
