You've heard of Hoovervilles.  Now get ready for Trumpvilles:

This would be an upgrade over their current situation, no?

Knowing Trump he’ll probably put someone like Arpaio in charge of them.

He certainly won't get anyone like St. Paul to be his tentmaker.

We already had Trumpvilles here in California. The homeless situation is way out of hand. Of course they started off as Obamavilles.

Tent city in a hot desert climate, and for children? I'm guessing that even Joe Arpaio would have caviled at the thought of sending a middle-aged diabetic to a tent in the desert in the summer. The usual middle-aged offender has some medical problems going into the penal system, or gets them shortly.

Children are even more vulnerable. But this said, Trump and cruelty seem to go together.

I thought this thread was him wanting to erect a statue of himself.

Anyway, as with the rest of his immigration policy this is an HP decision.

This is right on. Yet another sign of his cruelty on immigration policy.

The horrid leaders insist upon statues to themselves before their time is up.  I can easily imagine a WPA-style program in which  artists get paid to make flattering images, often gargantuan, of this President.

This probably wouldn't be an issue is Obama didnt block the proposed change in 2014 that would have allowed for the immediate deportation of illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, which is currently the law for illegal immigrants from Canada or mexico. Thats where most of these minors hail from.

Aren’t they passing through Mexico? Or did the change specify nation of origin?

We deport back to home country. Its actually easy against mexicans because we can essentially escort them to the border and be done with it. Nationals of other countries though get certain automatic hearing rights because the journey home is less simple. Its not fair to deport a honduran to mexican soil, any more than it is fair for mexico to deport a honduran to the U.S.

Yet another disgusting and disgraceful action by our anti-American "President" and his Misadministration.

To sum it up: It's a godawful decision and a MASSIVE HP this is.
