Joe Crowley spent over $1.1 million in the pre-primary reporting, a sign that the race is more competitive than it appears on the surface. Him and Ocasio-Cortez are having a debate tomorrow night.

There are nearly 700k prople living in NY-14 but something like 16k voted in the last primary. Crowely could easily lose as half the district is Hispanic.

Agreed, plus, the momentum Democratic women have been experiencing in the primaries so far, and the fact the vast majority of the district is Hispanic shows that she has a shot. Unfortunately, I don't think she is going to win in the end, but she could easily take 40% of the vote.
If there is going to be a Democratic incumbent losing in their primary, it's going to be Crowley.

wow.

Very healthy for the party that any leadership prospects to shrivel up and die the minute they get hit with any sort of exposure.

I mean this guy makes Tim Ryan look like a charisma and intelligence super star. I suspect Ryan is the next Democratic Speaker should that happen.

Still think Crowley will win in the end, but it's promising he has to fight this hard to hold the seat. Would be great if he did lose, he seems kinda sh**tty and I don't want that out of a future Speaker/House Leader.
