How strong is Matt Rosendale?

He's a meh candidate, but I expect Tester to win with his popularity and Montana's support of Democrats downballot.

Unimpressive but probably the best choice the MT GOP has right now. I'm honestly shocked at how weak their bench is looking at the moment, this primary field is pretty lackluster compared to Tester.

Very meh. He is a B-tier at best candidate, which might not be enough to defeat Tester, who has beaten tougher opponents.

I’m not that impressed with his campaign so far. He’s not the strongest candidate and will likely lose, although I fail to see what exactly makes him worse than someone like Vukmir or Morrisey. Worse than Akin, Moore, and Mourdock combined.

Yeah, but he's still not nearly as weak as Rosen.

Anyway, he's probably the best that the MT GOP can do without Zinke or Fox, and he'll keep the margin somewhat close, but he probably won't beat Tester.
