It is the year 1924. For 8 years, President Konrad Adenauer has led the country. Now, in the mid 1920s, the President has announced he will not run and thus, there are major Candidates Running for each party. With the Chaos of 1916 and 1920 behind them, there are those claiming they will be ready to run against to bring Normalcy back. With a changing America, the Nation has a difficult choice ahead of them.
For the Republicans, Several Candidates have lined up, including Vice President Stanton de Priest, America's first African American Vice President. Some Republicans plan to continue the change, like the Vice President, but there are those who want to bring America to the years before 1916. With a Republican Party divided over their still Popular President and whom should succeed him, their hopes of keeping of the White House are very Slim.
With the Democrats, however, it's a whole different story. After the Landslide defeat of President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 and the creation of the True American Party (TAP) in 1920, leading to the fall of Cox, a true split has emerged. In this party, Progressives, Populists, Conservatives, and Reactionaries are all vying for Power. A prominent Candidate is Governor Franklin Delano Roosevelt of New York, who rejected a ticket in 1920 with Cox to run for NY Governor. With his own wide range of Progressive reforms as Governor already, many hope he will be the one to take back the White House in November. With the threat of Former Treasury Secretary William McAdoo running for the TAP Nomination if he doesn't gain the Democratic one and will lead to another big loss like 1920.
With rising third parties, a crazy 8 years prior, and a battle against the Soviet Union in Russia, is America really ready for change or will it want a return to Normalcy?
