Dreier, Blunt, whomever. This is a huge win for the Democrats who've been scheming to take down DeLay from the moment he became Majority Leader.

The Travis County D.A. is a Democrat shill who had sought indictments against every major Republican officeholder in TX, including Kay Hutchinson. DeLay was just one name on the list.

In the end, though, I believe the only TX official to see jail time will be the Travis County D.A., himself, for abuse of power.

It doesn't matter, though, because once DeLay is out, Blunt will be the focus of some phony investigation once the Democrats find a bribable judge or D.A. or grand jury in Missouri (easy enough, with Jackson County, St Louis County, and the City of St Louis as major contenders).

Now, even that casper milquetoast Bill Frist is under investigation for, gasp!, being rich and having blind trusts.

The GOP are right cowards once they are sent to Washington -- no backbone at all to stand up to this Democrat nonsense.

DeLay is not a boy scout, but this is obviously politics. He's also not going to jail, but needless to say the political impact on him is quite significant.

This queer DA down in Texas... what a disgrace to the legal profession.

I didn't mind Drier nor do I mind Blunt.

but a drier blunt is always preferable to a wet one.

especially when you're in a humid windy island climate and you're on your last match.

I smoked a Cuban for the first time the other week. Got sick.

ANYTHING is preferrable to DeLay, so this is good news no matter who replaces him.

I think the only queer in this topic is Drier. And perhaps you.

LOL at the pathetic DeLay apoligists. Blunt is very closely connected to DeLay, and is involved in some of the same corruption that DeLay is being investigated for. Maybe the Republicans should see if they have a single member who isn't a corrupt scumbag instead.

Who cares about the moderate that had his own party gerrymander his district against him, making it liberal enough that he'd lose the primary?

Apparently, the Democrats in Congress, until he became a liability.

Unlike DeLay, there was no evidence that Condit had broken any law. He'd merely had an affair with an intern that was a victim of DC's high murder rate. But that was enough for the Democratic party to decide he needed to be taken down. That is in sharp contrast to the DeLay situation.

And your a disgrace to Barry Goldwater's name, why don't you change it to something more representative of your views, like FalwellH20.
