It's sh**t like this that can get me to support another candidate in 2020. Like holy f**k these ex-Bernie staffers (ranging from Nina Turner to Jeff Weaver) have no idea what they're doing. And yet on left wing YouTube shows and sh**t, Nina Turner is repeatedly mentioned as a possible VP choice for Sanders in 2020.

Bernie Sanders himself is a massive FF but he's not becoming president if his campaign is a sh**tshow like it became towards the end of his 2016 ran. I've been optimistic he'll run a better campaign given he's been showing effort in trying to revamp his 2016 platform with the 2020 contenders lately.

With that said, the oxygen is kind of split between them, Justice Dems, DSA, and PCCC, so I can understand if they're not raising cash as effectively as they were in 2016 or 2017, and given these candidates have a large institutional disadvantage, I can't fault them too much for lack of wins.

Oh well, you just see that Sanders and his goons start purging his fellow members for the sake of "ideological purity". this is one of the causes of the increasing polarization of the US political system; debate within the system is particularly shrouded for keeping the in-group pleased and resuming the fact that the people that don't really "fit-in" shall be purged.

We no longer debate with reason that the enlightenment thought it would bring us.I think that I would blame the US media for bringing this causality to the american political landscape. The fact that the US media is a business and not a public broadcasting station (which a majority is not), they strive for viewership and private money. American media companies have to run there news with advertisements(this in turn, makes it free for american viewers without paying any tax dollars to watch television).

The media wouldn't ever support a democratic socialist (because the fact that the funding comes from corporations, but the voters might). the entire cleansing process provides me with the example that these people won't really represent the entire view of the democratic socialist movement that is taken hold in the US political system. this movement isn't going to succeed if it has factions  help to pull the democratic process within the movement. the disregard for any democratic thought within the movement might as well tear it to shreds and american voters won't support a democratic socialist movement so passionately.

While they did very well in the Nov. 2017 elections, OR has really gone downhill this year. Endorsing Kucinich was probably their biggest blunder.

Not really much different than President Obama and OFA, except that OFA was usually on the winning side by default since the President was a Democrat and his influence over candidates/primaries was much stronger. But just like Obama's popularity and motivation didn't transfer to other candidates, neither does Sanders'.

I'm also not a fan of Our Revolution despite supporting Sanders. Their MA chapter is full of self important activists in Somerville who only seemed concerned about winning elections in ridiculously easy ground. I'm still mad that they refused to endorse Tito Jackson in the 2017 Boston Mayoral race. Even if Tito was a long shot candidate it really seems to go against the spirit of a revolution to not at least endorse him.

An article that looks into the dysfunctional state of Bernie political org that backed with truthful observations on the state of his "revolution". This should be read as caution for the elections ahead for your side.

This article is literally just a hitpiece because they didn't stay out of Cuomo's primary. Atlas is such a predictably gullible bunch.

Politico has their clear Clinton/Cuomo/establishment Democrats bias, but, I wouldn't be shocked if there's truth in this.

Worst case scenario - Bernie never runs, and his supporters explode into fighting over whether to support Harris/Castro/Turner, and a worse establishment Democrat like Booker wins the nomination.

Low-life Bernie Bros back at it again with their no-life Bernie Hope™! When will they ever learn?

Bernie is not going to run in 2020, whether you people like it or not.

This is a very good point. Welcome to the forum!

The fact that Sanders himself has kept plenty of blue water between himself and OR should tell us everything one needs to know.

Here's a rebuttal to this nonsense.

JFern, if you actually care about the left you should read Erika Andiola's statement. Bernie is still good, and there are good people who want to help him to win. But seriously, you *have * to understand that OR is at best deeply compromised. And no amount of partisan hackery on Atlas will change that.

Not really surprising. Nina Turner is a fraud and her lackeys are a bunch of grifters.

Of course it is. They let Nina Turner take over it.

Immigration activist Erika Andiola describes her time at Our Revolution under Turner's leadership.

Lol, looks like Turner really is going full force with this "spit on social issues like immigration to appeal to old white coal miners" shtick. It's a very interesting post (despite how ridiculous it is that a serious activist calls herself a "Bernie bro"), thanks for sharing.

Yes, talk is nice. Hillary Clinton also talked a lot about protecting workers and guaranteeing healthcare, but I'm sure you don't think it makes her a progressive hero Tongue I choose to believe the post, written by a self-proclaimed "Bernie Bro", which suggests otherwise about Turner's actual actions.

Not knowing much at all about Nina Turner, why are we supposed to snicker just at the mention of her name?
