NYT on Grimm's increasingly plausible primary win - even Donovan allies are worried he's been caught flat-footed.

If Grimm wins the primary, the race would be lean D. It's only an R+3 district in New York City.

yeah and often Dems here, stupidly, often support candidates from the Brooklyn part of the district rather than Staten Island part. That being said, Max Rose seems pretty good.

Wonder what Trump's approval is on Staten Island as of now.

While Grimm's opponent in 2014 was absolute trash,  he still won comfortably under indictment in a swing district. He should not be underestimated.

The word 2014 should be key here. Not to mention there is no under estimating just how awful candidate domenic recchia was.

2018 won't be a GOP wave like 2014. Could Donovan still win the primary?

I'd rather that both Donovan and Grimm had a ballot line in the GE.

As if that's justification for re-electing a violent criminal?

Voters are not children, they need to stop acting like it.

Not justification, but just simple fact. Grim deserves to lose. He probably deserves to be back in prison for as of yet undiscovered crimes which will inevitably surface
