Hello, long time reader, first time poster.

In 1992, a lot of potentially major Democratic candidates, for one reason or another, chose not to run in 1992. Suppose some of those candidates did, and, instead of the real 1992 Democratic candidates, these were the candidates in the Democratic Primary:

Governor Mario Cuomo
Senator Lloyd Bentsen
Reverend Jesse Jackson
Congressman Dick Gephardt
Senator Al Gore
Senator Jay Rockefeller

Who wins the nomination?

Cuomo was supposed to be the savior of the Democratic Party that year until he decided against running (in our reality). So him.

I would have supported Dick Gephardt but I suspect the most likely nominee out of that lot would be Mario Cuomo.
