Post keynesian economists are usually social democrat. They accept capitalism, but support welfare state, support an important role for the state. So, we could expect that the best model for post keynesians is continental Europe. But surprisingly, there is a significant quantity of post keynesians only in Italy. In other continental european countries, it is very hard to find post keynesians. In Germany, for example, most of the economists are very orthodox. Why?

Because in 2018, being a Keynesian is one and the same as being a neoliberal (somehow) and nobody wants to be labeled a neoliberal if they can help it.
