So he gave money to a leftist group that's critical of Bibi. So what?

Wallace is done. That's not an overreaction. Bucks county has tons of moderate Jews that voted for Hillary but will vote for Fitzpatrick if this is the democratic candidate.

Wallace is the type of politician Democrats need more of.

Some of y'all are so divorced from reality... only other Dem in the Philly-NY corridor that holds a swing seat is Josh Gottheimer. Gottheimer is anti-BDS, anti-Iran Deal, and extremely pro-Israel. Democrats need a coalition of minorities, educated white moderates, and Jewish liberals and moderates to win these types of seats (PA-06, NJ-11, NJ-07, PA-01). Being pro-BDS cuts off a key part of that coalition.

While I don’t think being a BDS supporter is helpful, you also think JVD might lose his primary in NJ because of “muh Eastman,” so forgive us if we ignore your “analysis,” Andrew.

I thought the key to Democrats winning was winning over extremely rural voters who didn't like Obama because he was from Africa?

Probably won't hurt him given the corbynization of the Democratic party, they didn't do anything when Danny Davis was discussing "the jewish question" so why would they care now?

Jeff Van Drew:

  • Moderate-conservative democrat
  • Supported by the DCCC, much to the chagrin of activists and the Intercept
  • Banking on high name recognition as of now (checked out his facebook page - I couldn't find one campaign event)

Tanzie Youngblood:

  • Young, progressive woman
  • Specifically making Van Drew's conservative/moderate votes and the DCCC's support of him a campaign
  • Appears to have pretty solid enthusiasm on social media

NJ-02: District Trump won narrowly

Now replace Jeff Van Drew, Tanzie Youngblood, and NJ-02 with Brad Ashford, Kara Eastman, and NE-02. Do you get where I'm coming from?

Danny Davis is an insane backbencher in a Safe D machine seat.

The political dynamics of New Jersey are completely unlike those of Nebraska

He won by being the only candidate on the ballot in a safe seat while dozens of congressmen in your party are buddies with Louis Farrakhan

Excuses, excuses. If your party really did give a sh**t they'd have recruited a homeless person to run against that guy and avoid the embarrassment. But I guess he was one of those "fine people" Trump mentioned.

It won't matter. If November's electorate is anything like last night's, Fitzpatrick is in deep trouble. He will need to win independent voters by a decent margin in order to defeat Wallace.

Long term, though, having pals of George Galloway in the House from swingy suburban seats is probably not great.

What I really want to know is how Reddick’s people missed all this.

They probably knew they would be smeared by the Intercept if they decided to attack Wallace as pro-BDS.

This...is a rather poor characterization. While his foundation did make a donation to New Press for Galloway's speaking tour, that's pretty far removed from 'palling around' with Galloway.
