I think he either said or implied something to the extent of he would never vote for a Democrat for any office, despite his own personal relatively moderate views.

Well, in their current state, I would probably never vote for them either, mainly because of their views on homeschooling.

Not that I wouldn't if they were the better then the competition, but school is to much of a hot button issue for me to vote Democrat.

Just because you can't imagine yourself voting for a person of another party doesn’t mean your hyper-partisan (partisan maybe.)  I couldn't imagine myself voting for a Democrat (unless it was an old school one, against a really liberal Republican) and I'm not partisan.  I critique the GOP all the time.
